Internship/Volunteering Opportunity
The Ontario Bengali Cultural Society (OBCS) has been serving immigrants, newcomers and diverse communities in Ontario since 2003. OBCS is seeking for Internship students/Volunteers in order to support its organizational development initiatives. The student will closely work with the Executive Director of OBCS to review and develop programs, development funding proposals, organize events and contribute in the development of OBCS new website.
Job description: Program Adviser
- Organize and facilitate program review and development meetings
- Conduct donor research, develop relationship with funders
- Prepare funding proposals
- Support in organizing cultural and community events
- Develop and update content for OBCS website
Qualifications
- Post Secondary education
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in programs development, fundraising and project management in non-profit settings
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Ability to work in flexible hours including Saturdays and Sundays (as required)
- Efficient user of MS Office and WordPress
